Can't we all just get back to the kind of fun we had as kids, when running through a sprinkler in your underwear wouldn't result in an arrest?

I'm a workaholic-type and a programmer so I stay indoors a lot. I also don't like dating apps, I want to meet someone organically but I never go anywhere. So day after day I live in relative isolation and don't know what's going to change all that...

I'm totally into the idea of meeting someone but feel like if they don't drop right out of the sky into my world it's never going to happen. I'm not going to force the issue but I don't want to give up, either.
